FAQ
Questions worth
answering honestly.
If you're considering working with us, these are the things we're most often asked, and what we say.
Getting Started
You don't need a perfect spec or a technical team. Bring a real problem worth solving.
01 We don't have a perfect spec. Can we still work together?
Absolutely. Most of our partners come to us with a problem, not a blueprint. We specialize in extracting what's in your head and turning it into a system. You don't need technical documentation or a finalized scope to start a conversation.
02 We're not a technical team. Will we be lost?
You won't need to translate. We speak business first, code second. Our job is to understand your operations and build software that fits them, not the other way around.
03 Do you take over existing projects or legacy systems?
Yes. We regularly inherit half-built apps, outdated codebases, and systems that work until they don't. We'll audit what you have, stabilize what's salvageable, and rebuild what's not. No rip-and-replace required unless it makes sense.
How We Work
Continuous, direct, and built around how your business operates.
04 How is this different from a development agency?
Agencies optimize for handoffs. We optimize for partnership. You get continuous engineering capacity, not a one-time delivery. We maintain context on your business, systems, and goals, so improvements compound over time.
05 How do we communicate and track progress?
Direct access to your engineering team, no account managers or ticket queues. We ship continuously and meet weekly to review what's live, what's next, and what we've learned.
06 What if priorities change mid-project?
They will. That's why we work in short cycles with continuous feedback. You can reprioritize every week based on what you're learning from real usage.
Security, Ownership & Technology
Your data, your code, your infrastructure, built on proven foundations.
07 How do you handle security?
Security is foundational, not an afterthought. Our VP of Technology holds a CISSP certification, and we follow secure development practices across all work. Your data and systems are protected by industry-standard encryption, access controls, and regular security reviews.
08 Who owns the software and data?
Your business logic and data are always yours. Under subscription, we operate and maintain the system. If you ever want to bring development in-house or sell the company, a buyout option transfers full ownership of code and infrastructure to you.
09 What technologies do you use?
Battle-tested, industry-standard tools: VueJS, Astro, NodeJS, Go, and Dart/Flutter, all on AWS. We avoid niche frameworks so your software remains a transferable, scalable asset.
Investment & Fit
Transparent pricing, honest expectations, and no long-term lock-in.
10 What does this cost?
Subscriptions start at $2,500/month. Most partners fall in the $5,000–$10,000 range depending on scope and velocity. For well-defined projects, we also offer fixed-scope proposals. We'll recommend the right model on our first call.
11 Is this more cost-effective than hiring?
Significantly. A senior developer costs $15k–$18k/month fully loaded. For a fraction of that, you get architecture, security, engineering, and ongoing maintenance. Zero hiring risk or management overhead.
12 What's the minimum commitment?
Month-to-month. We don't lock you into long contracts because we believe the work should speak for itself. Most partners stay for years, but you're free to pause or cancel at any monthly cycle.
